Hydropower Exhibit Ribbon Cutting - August 28, 2025
21 August 25
Join Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and Idaho Falls Power to celebrate the construction of a new hydropower exhibit, an interactive and educational resource for residents of Idaho Falls and surrounding areas, located at Heritage Park on the Idaho Falls Riverwalk.
Designed to mimic the old lower hydropower plant, this learning exhibit allows the community to interact with and understand the benefits of hydroelectric power generation. By manipulating the flow of water through the exhibit, users can see firsthand how the flow of water affects power generation.
Free BBQ* (*limit of 150; first come, first served) and sno cones will be provided, and Idaho National Laboratory will offer STEM activities and games where youth can learn more about the importance of hydropower to our community.
The exhibit and this celebratory event are sponsored by INL with funding from the Department of Energy's Water Power Technologies Office and by Idaho Falls Power.
