For Your Business: HVAC

Idaho Falls Power is proud to offer an HVAC program for our commercial and industrial customers. This program provides incentives to customers who install an air source heat pump, ductless heat pump, HVAC control improvements/VFD, thermostats, and insulation in their commercial or industrial properties. This program provides rebates and zero-interest loans to help customers retrofit their buildings or upgrade to more efficient equipment.

For more information about incentives and loan programs for your building upgrades, call Idaho Falls Power (208) 612-8430.

Qualifications for Rebate

  1. The building must receive its electric service from Idaho Falls Power
  2. Idaho Falls Power must conduct an energy audit prior to the purchase and/or installation of a measure

Rebates will be issued to the customer after purchase, installation, and final utility inspection. Rebate checks generally take 3-6 weeks to arrive.

Loan Terms

IFP will provide a loan up to 100 percent of the actual cost of installing lighting projects, not to exceed $25,000. Rebates are available for up to 50 percent of the cost of installing qualifying measures. Customers may choose either a loan or a rebate.

  1. No interest
  2. Up to 60 months to repay
  3. $25 administration charge
  4. $500 minimum loan amount
  5. Maximum loan amount of $25,000

If applicant moves, ownership changes, or nonpayment occurs for three months then any remaining balance will be immediately due and payable. If the loan is due and a customer defaults, interest will accrue on the unpaid principal, at the rate of 12 percent per annum. Should the account become delinquent, it will be subject to disconnection of electric service.

IFP issues the payment to the contractor for the allowable loan amount. It is the customer's responsibility to pay the contractor for costs in excess of the program loan amount.

The loan amount will be added to the customer's utility bill and will be payable in equal monthly installments. The monthly loan amount will appear as a separate line item on the customer's utility bill, and the loan payment can be submitted with the regular utility payment.
